CARMICHAEL, Sacramento County — Carmichael residents interested in painting have a new schedule to remember: the local recreation district is moving its Friday Paint Nights program to the third Friday of each month, beginning in November 2026.
When and where
The Carmichael Recreation and Park District’s official class listing schedules the next session for November 20, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at La Sierra Community Center. The planned theme is Harvest Moon.
The December session is scheduled for December 18 with a Winter Pines theme. The program welcomes beginners and experienced painters, with an instructor guiding participants through a themed project.
Prices and age limits
The district lists prices of $39 for residents and $41 for nonresidents, with supplies included. Participants must be age 13 or older. The specific room within La Sierra can vary, and organizers say they will send the final room assignment approximately 24 hours before class.
Why the change matters
The district specifically notes that sessions previously held on the first Friday will move to the third Friday. Its October 2 Spooky Season session was listed as canceled; people should not assume that a similar session is automatically being rescheduled. Registration and space availability should be checked through the district.
For registration questions or accessibility requests, contact the recreation office at 916-562-4783 or info@carmichaelpark.com. Verify the current class calendar before purchasing a place.
